Curriculum Development

  • Actively involved in curriculum development for M.Tech Program in Communication and Signal Processing (CSP) at IIT Indore, since its inception. Proposed the relevant courses for Communications in this M.Tech program.
  • Introduced two courses in the curriculum for Ph.D program at IIT Indore, namely Detection and Estimation Theory (EE643) and MIMO Wireless Communications (EE742).
  • Co-assisted to include a new elective course on Error Correcting Codes in M.Tech-Communication & Signal Processing as well as B.Tech-EE curriculum.
  • Proposed a new course on IoT Networks for both PG and UG curriculum. The main focus is on the networking aspects of the Internet of Things (IoT). It will also cover network modelling and applications for IoT. Students will gain state-of-the-art knowledge with typical IoT inspired networking tools.

Lab Development

Research Lab Development

Leading a Wireless Communications Research Lab (WiCom) at IIT Indore

  • Intended to conduct fundamental and applied research to cater to the emerging needs of the next generation wireless communication systems in 5G/6G era.
  • Leveraged with tools from statistics, random processes, convex optimization, and signal processing.
  • Equipped with computer workstations, vector signal generators, network analyzers with simulation packages and libraries of SystemVue (from Agilent Technologies).
  • Main research areas are cooperative communications, HD/FD relaying, diversity techniques, MIMO systems, cognitive radio, PHY security, SWIPT, hybrid satellite-terrestrial systems, IRS, molecular communications and nano-networks.
  • WiCom is currently being utilized by Research Fellows, PhD students, MTech students, BTech students and Interns for their research/project work under my supervision.
  • Research collaborations with peers from UK, France, Brazil, Italy, Greece, Korea, China, South Africa, and Saudi Arabia.

Undergraduate Lab Development

Proposed to expand and upgrade the UG Communication Lab course into two parts –

  • Communication Lab I (Analog Communication Lab)

- to be offered in V Semester (Autumn)

  • Communication Lab II (Digital Communication Lab)

- to be offered in VI Semester (Spring).

The experiments are designed using Trainer Kits, Circuits, MATLAB, and SDR platforms.
